  2. There are over a hundred and fifty grades of stainless steel; the alloys’ compositions differ depending on their intended final application. Today, while there is a very high rate of stainless steel being recycled, some of it still inadvertently ends up in landfills. In the event of this happening, the steel has no negative effect on the soil, emitting no toxins or other harmful substances.
  7. In coastal environments, stainless steel railings are sometimes subject to a phenomenon called “tea staining”. Tea staining generally happens only within a few kilometers of the waterfront, imparting the steel with a brownish discoloration. Fortunately this phenomenon does nothing to affect the strength and durability of the material, nor its structural integrity. Smoother surfaces are less prone to tea staining, and professional design and craftsmanship will also minimize the risk of staining (e.g. smooth, professionally-welded joints, and no unfortunate cracks or crevices that might hold water.)
  8. The adaptability of stainless steel is not limited to the material itself – in terms of architectural design, stainless steel railings can be fabricated in combination with other high-quality materials. This makes available an even wider range of hybrid, contemporary design options. I first connected with Pro Weld in July last year as we were just looking into getting our Front Entrance steps done for our house and we were in the market for a Stainless Steel/Glass combo railing. I met with Pro Weld and two other companies but from the first time I met with Tal and the Pro Weld team I knew they were the ones to do the job!. Everything went smooth with the design and install. We love the railing and get compliments on it all the time. The quality of the work done by Pro Weld is amazing! So if you have a railing to do look no further because these guys are the best and its money well spent for the quality that you are getting!
